Artist Statement
My name is Coelti. As a poet and performance artist who plays with typewriters and fire, my experiences are weird and wide: spanning adventure travel, immersive theatre, festival entertainment, consent education, contact improv, counter-cultural community-building, street performance, transformational burlesque, and the sort of life that prompts deep compassion. I have participated in both underground and institutional art-making, and my favorite inspiration is chance encounters with fellow world-wanderers. I am fortunate to have found my calling at the intersections of intuition, courage, communication, play, instigation, and wonder.
